ABOUT ME

SUP SPECIFIC TRAINING & NUTRITION, ON & OFF THE WATER

I’ve always had a passion for health and fitness, from the moment I stepped into my first gym when I was 18, 26 years ago.   I am also a lover of the great outdoors - hiking and kitesurfing, and SUP'ing since 2011.

In 2019 I was accepted to to race in the Yukon 1000, the longest unsupported canoe race in the world.  There were thousands of applicants, and we were one of 80 chosen.  And what's more, we would be one of only 4 '2 man' teams to do it on SUP's.  This led to me really dialling in my training and nutrition to get myself in the best shape possible before taking on the challenge. And then....

In 2020, when I was 44 years 'young', COVID brought the world to a stand still and the Yukon 1000 was postponed until 2022.  I used the extra time I had during the lockdowns to formalise my knowledge around fitness and nutrition. I studied for my Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer diplomas. I also completed an Advanced Sports Nutrition diploma with Barcelona University and more recently studied for my Level 1 Nutrition Certificate with Precision Nutrition; the industry gold standard for nutrition coaching.

All this learning, in a relatively short period of time was, for me easy as it was really just reinforcing or understanding the science behind everything I have been doing for the last 26 years. I am now really excited to work with clients online and in person, using my experience and knowledge to help you hit your own goals and ambitions!
